My video "Tube" is primarily for the purpose of sharing my family videos shot throughout each year with those wishing to reminisce and/or possibly experience a gathering or event they were unable to attend.
Spanning several continents and 5 weeks, it was quite a trip! A good chance to get out of the Dallas, Fort Worth area for a while. Doesn't take much to experience more culture & beauty than North Texas, but I highly recommend Lake Como, Italy for beautiful scenery.
As we say goodbye to 2007 I thought it was fitting to create a little Playlist featuring some of the favorite scenes from our year of family gatherings and celebrations. ...Causes me to look forward to our 2008 together!
3 generations of Fathers and 4 generations of family member's gathered once again to celebrate our beloved fathers! They are the cornerstone to our family... I am very proud of my Grandfather! Uncles & Brother!
My Grandparents were nice enough to host the last B-day of my 30's. I'm so lucky to have such a large, generous family! Over 20 family members helped me deal with getting yet another year older! Ouch...
The 4th is always fun since it's also Mom's B-day! It has been a nice chance for the whole family to gather for as long as I can remember. Typically, hot dogs, ice cream, cake, and fireworks are the highlights.
Although it is sometimes a sad reality to admit - funerals are often a rare opportunity to see a larger gathering of family than is normally together. I was so VERY glad to see everyone! Gilbert Parish would have been PROUD! (Also view Gilbert's interview playlist from May 2007.)
On my way to visit my great uncle Gilbert Parish, just 4 days before he passed away, I was able to also stop by my father's parents dedication prayer garden. It was a beautiful spring day in Waco. I really miss my Hulme Grandparents & was so blessed to have had them with me as late in life as I did! (I also miss my grandmother's two sisters - Tommie and Eileen)
It was an exceptional treat having so many folks over to the house. I believe I ended up with around 35 people in attendance! HUGE may 2008 celebration!! 7 mom's!, 3 Birthday folks! 3 Grand Mothers & 1 Great Grandmother & 2 Brand Spanking new Graduates!
I call it "POT S" or "POT P". In this Playlist I explore ideas, causes & technologies that stand a chance at influencing individuals & societies stubborn nature to consume with little thought to the impact we are having on our future health & wellbeing.
On occasion retro clips from videos like these can really take you back. Take you back to a time when there were no bills you took care of, or responsibilities other than bike riding and baseball cards.
